Experts, experts, knowledge, and democracy

Love this article. So many thoughts. I'm an expert....I've spent years studying a field, and yet there is so much more to learn.

One does not have to be an academic to be an expert, but one does have to devote 10,000 hours to it (I'm quoting Amy Duckworth's Grit here).

I don't think I know how to determine Middle East policy or public health just because I'm knowledgeable about something else and because I read some articles.
