Deconstruction of One's Christian Faith

As usual, "the man" Russell Moore nails it.

I think "deconstructing" is a bad name for what people are doing, especially since as Moore points out, there are wide varieties of what is meant. I question, reflect, get mad, get frustrated, revel in God's love, worship, become sad, every day. And we come back to John 6:68. "To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." And Peter meant more by that than "a ticket to heaven." Read the whole context.

For some, deconstructing is just an excuse to not bother living what they never really believed in the first place. For others, it's real and painful and sad. For others, it brings a transformed mind and heart.
